More than just a good place to surf.

Low Tide Zone

This zone can be observed only (without diving) at the lowest tides of the year.  There is often either some few inches of water present or frequent wave action, so animal life is more difficult to examine or observe.  It’s there in abundance, but what you’ll see is less predictable.  However, Sea Stars (starfish), Keyhole limpets and Turbans are most likely.  The possibility of unpleasant encounters with such animals as the Moray Eel, Spiny Lobster, and Sting Ray is greater here.  Prolific growth of Green Surf Grass is characteristic of this zone.
