Beacon's Beach is located in North
San Diego County, north of Del Mar, Solana Beach and Cardiff, south of Oceanside
and Carlsbad, in Encinitas - or Leucadia as known to the locals
far and near.
Because Beacon's is hard to find,
and the winding path is a deterrent to many (especially those with kids) most of
the beachgoers are native to the immediate area.
